For the FW16 collection, Woolrich goes back to the roots and not just symbolically. The most technically advanced coats in the collection, revisit and take inspiration from two models designed in the ‘70s, reinterpreting them along contemporary lines. Teton, the part of the collection dedicated to outdoor sport, features the Mountain Jacket and the Mountain Parka, created in collaboration with Gore-tex.
Gore-tex fabric, used by Woolrich since the ‘80s, forms an armor of sorts against the elements, making the jackets resistant to abrasion and extreme weather conditions. The men’s model re-traces the shape of the classic parka, while the women’s follows the body’s natural shape thanks to the drawstrings around the waist and neck.
Woolrich is in fact careful innovate without losing the brand’s historic DNA. This results in the union of comfortable materials with a contemporary identity that is at once functional and sophisticated.
